Welcome to the Rosewarne Genealogy Page
The name of Rosewarne originates from the estate of
the same name in the parish of Camborne in the county of Cornwall (UK). The name is derived from two Cornish words
'ros'
meaning 'heath' and 'gwern'
meaning 'alder trees'. I am descended
from John Rosewarne and Julia (nee Mann) who emigrated to Australia, from Cornwall in 1849. I have been researching
my family history for many years and have collected a large body of data (not all related to the Rosewarne family)
which I hope will be of assistance to others interested in pursuing their family origins.
